Evony’s Heavenly Fire Ceremony Event introduces Sigurd, a semi-legendary Viking warrior and Danish king, as an outstanding ranged-troop general. Currently, Sigurd is only available during this event. Read on for more information about Sigurd and how to best utilize him in your army.
Background Story
In the icy Nordic seas stands a legendary Viking, Sigurd. With the blood of the heroic Ragnar flowing through his veins and a serpent-shaped birthmark on his eye, Sigurd earned the name "Snake-in-the-Eye."
Growing up under his family's glory, Sigurd was destined for greatness. When his brothers were slain by the Swedish king, a fire of vengeance ignited in his heart. Leading his Viking warriors, Sigurd avenged his family's honor. His father's fall only fueled his fury, propelling him like a storm across England. There, Sigurd conquered with both force and wisdom, solidifying his reign and earning a reputation of fear and respect.
Sigurd's leadership brought countless victories. With his courage and intellect, he penned an epic story of family, vengeance, and conquest in the 9th-century Nordic world.

Recommended Combinations for Sigurd
Sigurd is currently one of the best ranged troop assistant generals. Even without ascending buffs, his attributes remain impressive.
However, Sigurd’s special skill conflicts with the abilities of other top archer generals like Merlin, Mihai, and Godfrey of Bouillon, meaning they cannot work together in a team.
Below are recommended combinations based on Sigurd’s highest effective bonuses for ranged troop attack, defense, HP, and march size buffs. These combinations offer various advantages, and you can tailor them to your playstyle.
Given Sigurd’s rarity, I recommend using him as an assistant general, as it may be too costly to train him as a main general. However, Soul Binding offers an excellent alternative for strengthening his abilities.
